Mental health doesn’t stick to office hours

World Mental Health Day takes place on 10 October, and his year’s global theme highlights the importance of accessing mental health support during emergencies and catastrophes. Mental health challenges can escalate suddenly. Stress, trauma or personal difficulties may build to a point where everything feels overwhelming. In these moments, many people need help right away – not tomorrow, not next week.

But crisis often doesn’t happen during office hours. That’s where Safe Haven comes in. By providing immediate crisis de-escalation every evening, we help ensure people in Coventry and Warwickshire aren’t left alone in their most difficult moments.

Evening support with Safe Haven

Safe Haven is a dedicated evening crisis service providing immediate, non-judgmental support for anyone experiencing suicidal thoughts or emotional distress. We are here for people who may feel their mental health is worsening and need urgent help outside of normal hours.

Our team offers a safe space to talk, listen and access support, helping people manage crisis moments before they escalate.

What Safe Haven offers

Safe Haven provides a range of services designed to support individuals in the most critical moments:

  • Evening drop-in hubs for face-to-face crisis support: every evening in Coventry and Nuneaton and once a week in Rugby, Warwick and Coleshill

  • Immediate guidance and listening support from trained staff.

  • Connection and activities with peers

  • Information and resources for ongoing support after the crisis

  • Safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment

Our goal is to provide help when people need it most, giving them tools and support to navigate a crisis safely.
